Contacts can be an absolute life-changer, whether you’ve recently noticed yourself squinting or you have been wearing glasses for years. However, finding the right contact lens for your eye can be quite the task. Just like every person is different, our eyes are also not the same, which means that what works for one person may not for the next. This is one of the reasons why we offer a variety of contact lens brands here at First Eye Care, including:
- Air Optix
- Dailies AquaComfort
- Bio True
- Bausch + Lomb
Each of these brands offers unique options aimed to help our customers enhance their vision without compromising on comfort. For some people, daily contacts (i.e., those that you wear just once, then throw out) are a better solution, whereas others prefer contacts they can wear for a week, couple weeks, or even months at a time. Given the fact there are so many options out there today, we encourage you to come into First Eye Care in Arlington and let us help you find the best product for your needs. And what’s more great? Right now we are offering $10 off your first order placed through our online store here. This is a great opportunity for those who aren’t quite satisfied with their current lens situation and are looking for an alternative. We understand how overwhelming shopping for contact lenses can be, which is why we are here to help!
The Difference Between Dailies and Monthly Lenses
Before you start shopping around and looking at the different contact lens brands out there, it’s important to take a minute to understand the difference between daily and monthly lenses. This is a pretty significant distinction that will change how you approach your contact search.
- Daily Lenses – As you may be able to guess, daily lenses are worn for just one day and discarded at night when you are done using them. They are usually much thinner than other lenses and have a high water content. Because of this, natural deposits from your eyes can easily build up on the lenses, making them unsafe to wear more than once. We offer several different daily brands, including Dailies AquaComfort Plus Multifocals, Dailies Plus Toric, and Dailies Total Multifocal.
- Monthly Lenses – Your other option is monthly lenses, which are replaced bi-weekly or monthly, depending on the lens and individual. These lenses are thicker than dailies and are more durable and long-lasting. Most should be removed every night before sleep, but there are a handful of brands that offer lenses that you can wear all day and at night, such as Air Optix Night & Day.
Both daily and monthly lenses offer different solutions for common eye conditions, such as astigmatism, toric, and multifocal lenses. To learn more about the brands we carry or to schedule a contact lens fitting at our Arlington eye center, please give First Eye Care a call today.
